My approach is psychoanalytic oriented and forms the basis for my practice with individuals, groups and clinical supervision. I also offer Lacanian psychoanalysis for clients (professionals and non-professionals) interested in this particular psychoanalytic perspective.
The purpose of a psychoanalytic psychotherapy is to facilitate insights about how and why you see yourself engaging in apparently unavoidable patterns and repetitions without being able to change them. These insights allow you to recognize the anguish that accompanies those experiences and to realize what are the aspects that contribute to the formation of the symptoms related to your mental suffering. People struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, bodily manifestations and identity issues, and other manifestations of psychological suffering seek psychoanalytic therapies to work through unconscious and conscious forces that are related to those problems.
From the beginning of the treatment, I seek to closely listen to you and direct you to identify what are your expectations and goals for the treatment. Based on them, I formulate the therapeutic plan that is tailored to meet your unique needs. I strive to support you in working through your dilemmas, conflicts and issues by hearing the meanings embedded in your speech that were still unknown or unnoticed by yourself, and this allows you to find new and creative ways for dealing with them.
