Lauren Marshall

Registered Social Worker · Master's
Psychotherapy Provider (Registered Social Worker)
Lauren holds a master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Wilfrid Lauier University and is a registered member of the Ontario college of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She has 18 years of clinical experience walking alongside and supporting adults who have experienced anxiety, depression, grief and loss, domestic and family violence, trauma, and addiction. Therapy is her passion and she thrives on witnessing people make positive and lasting changes in their lives.
Lauren has extensive post-graduate training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She is a certified EMDR therapist and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant.
Lauren is known for injecting small amounts of humour into her compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy. As an experienced client herself, she understands the courage it takes to show up and be vulnerable and open in order to create the changes that life demands of us. She appreciates that trust takes time and thus prioritizes her clients' needs and goals and checks in often to ensure safety, comfort, and progress.
In her down time you will likely find Lauren wandering the woods with her partner and two children, baking, barbecuing all year round, or trying (with difficulty) to cultivate a green thumb in her yard.
