Selah Counselling, Mediation & Training Center provides counselling, psychotherapy, and mediation services for individuals, couples, children, youth, and families.

Founded by Tina Bender, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, Selah has grown from a private counselling practice into a team of clinicians committed to providing compassionate, professional, and individualized care. Our work is grounded in the understanding that the concerns people bring into therapy are often connected to deeper experiences involving relationships, attachment, trauma, grief, family systems, life transitions, and the ways the nervous system responds to stress and adversity.

Our therapists work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique story, needs, and goals. Depending on the clinician and presenting concerns, treatment may incorporate approaches such as EMDR, attachment-based therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches, play-based interventions, and other evidence-informed therapeutic modalities.

Selah also provides mediation and conflict-resolution services for individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and churches.

The training component of Selah is focused on supporting interns who are preparing to enter the counselling and psychotherapy field. Through supervised clinical placements, interns receive practical experience, mentorship, case consultation, and opportunities to develop their therapeutic skills while working within clear ethical and professional standards. Our Selah Access Program also allows supervised interns to provide reduced-fee and limited pro bono counselling, helping increase access to care while supporting the development of emerging therapists.

At Selah, we believe meaningful change begins when people have a safe place to slow down, understand what they are carrying, and begin addressing what is happening beneath the surface. Our goal is to provide a compassionate and respectful environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they move toward greater emotional health, healthier relationships, and lasting change.
