Deciding to start therapy is a courageous step, one that can profoundly impact your life. Tessa is committed to making this journey as supportive and empowering as possible, believing that the right therapeutic fit is crucial to meaningful progress. With her naturally open, straightforward, and compassionate approach, Tessa creates a welcoming space for self-exploration, personal growth, and healing.
Tessa offers customized, individualized treatment plans that respect your unique needs, created collaboratively with you over the first few sessions. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and eclectic, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for ages 12 to 40 and incorporating mindfulness-based techniques. She also integrates psychodynamic theory to help explore how past experiences and relational dynamics shape current challenges. Additionally, Tessa is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support clients facing a wide range of issues.
Therapy with Tessa is a collaborative process. She will work with you to identify challenges, clarify goals, and build a personalized roadmap for change. To make your start as comfortable as possible, Tessa offers a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and how she can help. Sessions are available in-person, virtually, or as walk-and-talk therapy—allowing you to find the format that suits you best.
