Soroosh Vafapoor

Registered Psychotherapist, MPACS, MPS · Master's (University of Toronto, 2021)
Member of College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Psychotherapy Provider (Registered Psychotherapist)
Soroosh is a Registered Psychotherapist and founder of The Friendly Porch Psychotherapy Clinic. Sessions with Soroosh allow clients to slow down and notice what lies beneath the surface of daily life. Whether someone arrives with anxiety, depression, relationship strain, grief, or a vague sense that something is off, Soroosh offers a calm, pressure-free space where pain is met with steady presence.
Sessions move at a thoughtful pace: together, Soroosh and his clients pause long enough to hear what suffering and emotional distress may be trying to say. The goal isn’t quick fixes but genuine understanding—because from insight come clarity, choice, and the first steps toward change.
Soroosh draws on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness practices. He holds a Master of Pastoral Studies (Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo. He keeps his work current through ongoing training in somatic and depth-oriented approaches. He offers secure online therapy across Ontario and in-person appointments by request.
