Psychotherapy Provider (Registered Psychotherapist)
At Israel’s Psychotherapy Centre, I provide trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals navigating PTSD, addiction, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation—with a specialized focus on Veterans, First Responders, and African-Canadian communities. My work is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, all delivered with warmth, cultural sensitivity, and compassion.
I understand the courage it takes to seek help, especially for those who’ve endured trauma, systemic stress, or addiction. My goal is to help clients rebuild emotional safety, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with their sense of identity and purpose.
In addition to direct clinical care, I collaborate with physicians, case managers, and treatment centres to provide continuity of care and bridge support for clients awaiting public or specialized programs (e.g., CAMH, EHN, or other community-based services). My virtual sessions are PHIPA-compliant, flexible, and available across Ontario.
If you’re a client seeking trauma-informed healing—or a professional looking for a trusted therapist to support your referrals—I welcome the opportunity to connect. Together, we can restore balance, meaning, and long-term recovery.

Success Story
From Survival to Stability and Leadership
When D., a man in his early thirties, first came to therapy, he was struggling with the dual challenges of addiction and complex trauma. Years of unstable housing, fractured relationships, and recurring depressive episodes had left him feeling hopeless about recovery. He had been referred through a concurrent disorders program after several unsuccessful treatment attempts.
Through our work together, we began focusing on building emotional regulation, trauma awareness, and relapse prevention skills using a blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention. Over time, D. learned how to identify emotional triggers, develop grounding techniques, and engage in healthier daily routines that supported his sobriety and mental health.
After several months of consistent therapy and coordinated care, D. successfully completed his programming, obtained stable housing, and began volunteering within a community recovery organization. His newfound confidence and emotional insight inspired him to launch a small business, which has since grown into a successful local company.
Today, D. often reflects on therapy as the turning point that helped him move from surviving to thriving. His story serves as a reminder that with the right support, structure, and trauma-informed care, long-term recovery and transformation are possible.
