Jennifer Watson is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registrant of CRPO, and practicing under direct supervision to complete her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Jennifer has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University with specializations in Mathematics and Special Education. Jennifer is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT). She is a facilitator for Compassion-Based Resilience Training (CBRT) through Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Psychology, bringing together what we know of our nervous system, attachment, and trauma, with mindfulness and compassion-based practices. Jennifer has been a meditation practitioner for over 20 years, studying in three countries.
Jennifer provides counselling services using evidence-based practices and views human experience through an attachment lens and works to heal relational wounds through a respectful, nonjudgemental and empathic therapeutic relationship. She uses a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered approach that integrates various intervention modalities in her work with clients. All clients are welcome.
