I’m Seneka, in the past 19 years I have worked in the Public Health Sector. I started my career in nursing and soon found out my purpose was to help others. For the past 7 years I have provided psychotherapy, counselling, suicide prevention, crisis, education, assessments, and advocacy for individuals who may suffer from moderate to severe mental health conditions. I am passionate about helping individuals reach a new wellness. With my extensive knowledge and expertise, individuals are able to achieve balanced thinking and psychological wellbeing.
I practice psychotherapy with an evidence-based humanistic and experiential perspective. I am trained in the following modalities; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, cultural-sensitivity, Trauma-Informed, and strength-based approaches.
The goal of DKH Psychotherapy and Counselling is to create a supportive and safe space for a purposeful interaction. Providing the necessary skills needed for life challenges while allowing you to strive to your full potential. My approach is nurturing, non-judgmental and stems from compassion, empathy with a holistic approach.
