As a client-centred, strengths-based therapist it is my job to collaborate with the client to discover the roots of whatever issues are brought forward. I believe that compassion and non judgment are crucial to unlocking the healing potential of each person. In my 20 years experience as a therapist I have also learned that many problems have roots in traumatic, overwhelming, and formative negative perceptions that initiate negative loops of thinking and feeling. Reprocessing therapies like EMDR and Brainspotting, especially in combination with more standard therapies like CBT and DBT, can be very helpful in alleviating distress and breaking these negative loops.

The most dramatic success stories are people who have experienced trauma and seek treatment within 3 -6 months. The negative loops don't get a chance to take hold and further mental health issues can be prevented. Those with chronic mental health issues who develop self-confidence in their ability to shift into more positive helpful states also provide inspiring success stories. There is a success story inside all of us sometimes waiting to happen.
