My interest and passion lies in working with individuals to overcome obstacles that are keeping them from living their most fulfilling life. I believe strongly that a safe therapeutic environment and good working relationship between therapist and client are the most important factors that lead to real change. I am consistently amazed by the resiliency and resources I see within clients, and am always striving to help foster and draw upon these in sessions.

I have experience working with a number of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma/complex trauma, emotion regulation issues, relationship and sex issues, and social issues. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma or complex trauma, and helping them to understand and overcome the difficulties their past experiences have created in their lives.

I believe strongly that a safe therapeutic environment and good working relationship between therapist and client are the most important factors that lead to real change. I work from an integrative approach, wherein I draw heavily from Psychodynamic Therapy and incorporate elements from Client Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and others. I strive to tailor my approach and treatment to each individual client and their unique needs.
I aim to provide an open, non-judgmental, and warm space for clients to be and explore their true selves. "The greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be him or herself without the threat of you leaving" - Kai Greene

I hold an M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology with training in individual and group counselling from the University of Ottawa, and am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. As part of my professional development I engage routinely in supervision and additional training.
