My name is Jassi Mundi, I am the founder of Evolution Psychotherapy. I am a registered Psychotherapists with the CRPO. I completed my master’s in counselling psychology through Yorkville University and my undergraduate degree in psychology with honours through York University. I have also taken additional educational opportunities to specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, interpersonal therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Youth Mental Health Specialist Certification Training. Prior to entering psychotherapy, I worked several years in the private sector. I have always had a deep passion and personal commitment to helping those around me. After speaking to a dear friend/career counsellor I realized that becoming a psychotherapist was my true calling in my life.
The reason I chose to pursue a career as a psychotherapist comes from a deep desire to not only help individuals but also to find ways to give back to my community. I volunteer as a mentor to victims of domestic violence and volunteer with Catholic Family Services of Peel Dufferin to help provide supports to families in need and raising awareness of programs available throughout our community.
My passion is working with individuals with ADHD and trauma. Having ADHD myself and raising 2 children who also have ADHD provides me with hands on and lived experience with the difficulties experienced by those who suffer with ADHD or ADHD tendencies. I have gone through various trauma's myself and have overcome anxiety, and depression through working on my own mental health over the years. I am currently working towards my certification in Attachment Focused Trauma processing to help those with trauma and PTSD, particularly those who work in emergency services.
My personal hobbies are spending time with my children, playing sports, interior design, arts and crafts.
