As a registered psychotherapist, I help you heal and flourish by creating a safe space for you to explore, discover and deal with the root causes of the mental, emotional and spiritual health issues that prevent you from being happy, free and performing optimally in your work, communities and intimate relationships. We work together to develop and implement a holistic and customized treatment plan that includes strategies and techniques from different psychotherapeutic modalities including improving self awareness and acceptance, understanding and regulating emotions, managing intrusive and unhelpful thoughts and thinking patterns, communicating compassionately, healing the life history, mindfulness and other cognitive, behavioral, humanistic, existential, somatic and psychodynamic techniques.
The wellness of past individual, couple, family and group clients have been enriched from my diverse experiences:
– Clinical experiences with psychosis at Centre for Addictions and Mental Health; addictions at Neuropsychiatric Hospital; concurrent diagnosis at St Michaels Rehabilitation Centre; mood, anxiety, couple/ relationship and work related-performance issues from private practices.
– Previous careers in pharmacy, management, business education, change and project management
– Life experiences with neurodiversity, marriage, parenting of adult children and family life as a middle child,, multicultural, multi-religious developing and developed countries and immigration,
– Additional training and education in spiritual care, spiritual direction and pastoral ministry.
I create and maintain a safe, warm, accepting, inclusive and diversity-affirming space for all. If you desire, I incorporate spirituality to your care, irrespective of your religious or lack of religious affiliation.
