Hi! My name is MD. My approach to therapy is body oriented/somatic, trauma focused and informed, humanistic, politicized, liberatory, collaborative, and relational. I am fiercely queer and trans affirming, with values rooted in intersectional feminism, abolition, harm reduction, healing and justice.

I've always been deeply curious about ways of expression that move beyond words — about the layers of meaning that can emerge through the body, sensation, and movement. My journey into this work has been shaped by a lifelong interest in human stories, especially the ones we carry in our soma.

I approach therapy much like I approach art-making: a co-creative, emergent process. People arrive as they are, and the work unfolds from there—sometimes consciously, sometimes beneath the surface. There’s no need to make sense of everything right away. Instead, we listen together for what’s ready to emerge, allowing meaning to form in ways that are often more aligned with one’s deeper desires.

I work with folks who feel stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by old patterns, trauma, grief, anxiety, or stress. I'll help you navigate these challenges and identity struggles by weaving together mind and body in therapy. Healing isn’t just something we think about, it’s something we feel, embody, and move through together. As a somatic and relational therapist, I believe that connection is a powerful part of the work. My specialty lies in helping people reconnect with their bodies wisdom, to find healing that goes beyond talk alone and to find a sense of presence and steadiness.

Sometimes our bodies carry the weight of what our minds have tried to leave behind — patterns of tension, holding, or shutdown. These are the places I help you explore, gently and with curiosity. I bring a holistic body-centered approach to talk therapy that invites you to tune in to your emotions, posture, breath, movement, and impulses.

Together, we create a space that is safe, inclusive, and grounded in respect for your lived experience and unique needs. I offer a space to be seen and met exactly as you are, and to gently explore new possibilities for how you relate to yourself, your body, and the world around you. Let’s listen together.
