Bernadette or Beejay Street is experienced in working with children, youth and adults with a wide range of concerns, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning disabilities/ Specific Learning Disorders, trauma-related, Anxiety, Depression, personality disorders and behavioural concerns. She can be your partner in developing a better understanding of, or appreciation for your own skills and abilities, to accept yourself, and to help yourself rise up from challenges. This therapeutic partnership is carried out in an empathic, client-centred, and collaborative manner. Bernadette uses various therapeutic modalities in order to fit each client’s needs, preference, situation or difficulty.
Bernadette maintains a psychotherapy group practice in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. She is also a member of a psychology team, Eastwood Psychologists, in Brampton, Ontario. She is a graduate of Master in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Studies. She is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario which enables her to conduct the controlled act of psychotherapy. She is currently supervising early-career psychotherapists and psychotherapy practicum students. Bernadette is also doing her doctorate in psychotherapy and counselling.

Success Story
In addition to her psychotherapy work, Bernadette has provided senior therapy for over 6 years for Intensive Behavioural Interventions (IBI) for students with Autism for Toronto, Halton, and Peel regions. Some of this work gave her valuable experience of collaborating with a multi-professional clinical team from CAMH to help plan and facilitate daily living skills programs for a few adult clients with Schizophrenia and neurodevelopmental disorders. Further, she has been involved in maintaining the "Teach ADHD" research website from the Hospital for Sick Children and About Kids Health and has worked part-time as a psycho-educational consultant at a school board.
Bernadette speaks English and Filipino. She likes learning and travelling. When travelling, she likes to immerse herself in the culture and explore the road less travelled, enjoying the simplicity of nature. Bernadette enjoys various genres of music and appreciates many forms of art.
