Dayana is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Relationships are her area of expertise. She is a Gottman Institute–trained couples therapist (Levels 1 and 2), a certified sex therapist through the University of Guelph, and a SYMBIS-certified premarital counsellor for couples preparing to marry or move in together. She also works with individuals navigating modern dating as a certified dating coach through the Hart Coaching Academy, and supports clients managing depression and anxiety using Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and CBT.
What distinguishes Dayana's practice is that she works on both sides of a relationship's arc. Alongside her clinical work, she is a Qualified Mediator with the ADR Institute of Ontario and Canada and a Family Law Arbitrator, offering families a way to separate or divorce outside the court system with particular experience in high-conflict situations. Clients who begin in therapy and later need a structured path forward do not have to start over with someone new.
Dayana holds a BA in Counselling, an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and a postgraduate diploma in Forensic Psychology from the University of Liverpool. She sees clients in person in Hamilton and online across Ontario, in English and Spanish.
