We are a Private Practice Service, Embracing Empowerment Counselling Services offering psychotherapy, coaching, professional workshops , clinical supervision and peer support for various age groups. Our Founder is a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers since 2002. Parul Shah successfully obtained her Masters of Science in Psychology (MSP) from University Of Phoenix. Presently Parul Shah is completing her PhD in psychology from Walden University.
Parul Shah has worked as a Social Worker at Children’s Aid Society /Child Protection Services across Ontario, for over 12 years and has over 22 years of experience in Mental Health. We are aware of the great lengths of what it takes to be an advocate for a family, for a child, for a teen, for a woman and for anyone in Frontline (First Responders, Corrections, Probation, Parole, Nurses, Doctors, Veterans) Working in this field we have a vast amount of experiences. knowledge and dealings with, Intimate partner violence, Addictions, Child abuse, Abandonment, Psychological issues, Narcissistic Abuse, Anxiety, Bullying, Complex Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Injuries (PTSI or known as PTSD).

Parul Shah was an Advisory Board Member for First Eyes. First Eyes was created by Dan Bowers, a retired Detective Sergeant (OPP). His personal experience taught him the importance of educating and providing guidance to families and couples about the potential risk of mental health breakdowns amongst First Responders, Military, Veterans and any other Frontline Professionals. Parul Shah is a Clinical Support Specialist for First Responders Family Resiliency Support Group Ottawa. First Responders Family Resiliency Group of Ottawa, a group that provides support to loved ones who provide ongoing compassionate care to those they care about who have been diagnosed with PTSD, trauma and Operational Stress Injury. This group is soley runned on a voluntary basis and have already made in impact in the community.
