My style and approach to therapy are influenced by a holistic understanding that we are a composite of our histories and experiences, the intersections of our identities, and socio-cultural understandings and systems. I am drawn to person-centered, humanistic, eclectic, anti-oppressive, and intersectional approaches to therapy that work towards fostering curiosity, reflection, empathy, non-judgement, trust, and compassion. I also strongly believe that the counselling experience should be a collaborative approach to growth and discovery, and I look forward to co-creating a space together that best meets your needs.
In addition to the above information, my previous work experience included both teaching and research in the areas of Gender and Sexuality Studies (with a specific focus on LGBTQ2IA+ populations) and social justice more broadly, all of which continue to inform the work I do today. Additionally, I have specific therapy-related training in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, Emotion-Focused Therapy for Couples, and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.
I provide both individual (ages 15+) and couples psychotherapy services and I am exclusively online. I look forward to working with you!
