I am passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where we can work together to explore issues related to identity, intense and difficult feelings, loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, caregiving, disability, working within or navigating bureaucracies and complex systems, and more.
I take an integrative approach to psychotherapy, often drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and a Common Factors Approach. I also like to draw on and celebrate each person’s unique strengths and take a disability-affirming approach to my work. I can also leverage my extensive knowledge of community-based resources and complex system navigation for those who are interested.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Master of Arts degree in Community Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. I am also able to draw on my extensive history working within bureaucracies as well as in the areas of youth engagement and accessibility and accommodations for people with disabilities and exceptionalities.
