I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and an EMDR Therapist.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Western University in London, Ontario and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in New Brunswick.
My current professional practice includes performing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans for clients, and providing long and short-term psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals (pre-teens, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families from diverse backgrounds with cognitive, behavioural, and emotional disorders.
I am registered with Health Canada as a clinical counsellor to provide crisis counselling for First Nations people under the Health Canada’s Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program and Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program (IRS RHSP). I am also an approved mental health provider with the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) and with the Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) to provide psychotherapy services to clients that have been involved in motor vehicle accidents and experience psychological disturbances.
I use a client centered approach and utilize various psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques to suit my clients’ needs such as the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Family systems, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing, among others.
I am a dedicated and caring professional whose goals are to support my clients gain insight into their problems, improve their mental health, achieve personal growth, and overall well-being.
