Joanna is a Registered Psychotherapist who has completed the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. In addition to her MACP, she has completed the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship, EFT Core Skills, and Applying Polyvagal Theory to the Practice of EFT training. Whether you’re having relationship problems, struggling with personal challenges, or searching for the next step, I’m ready to accompany you on your journey. I work with people whose worry manifests itself at the worst times. I work with people who feel that they’re sinking or stuck because of their low mood. I work with couples who want to feel in sync again. How you feel matters, and I am here to listen without judgement or sit with you when you need that quiet space for peace. You’re not alone. I work primarily from an attachment perspective with individuals and couples. As a theory of adult love and emotion regulation, the humanistic approach for healing and change is used. Individual therapy is an attachment process (the building of safe connections) between the therapist and the client and between the client and previous and present relationships.
