Ashley Haigh is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She received a Master of Social Work degree from York University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Trent University. Ashley has experience supporting her clients in clinical and community settings, with expert experience with mental health and addiction concerns, as well as supporting those who have experienced gender-based violence. Ashley is skilled in supporting concerns surrounding self-esteem, self-image, communication, relationships, boundaries, grief, anger, stress management, family dynamics, relationships, co-dependency, intimate partner violence, and trauma.

Ashley has enhanced her practice through the use of various clinical treatment approaches, including trauma-informed care and interventions, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy approaches, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and other solution and emotion focused tools.

In sessions with Ashley, you can expect a warm, compassionate, empathetic approach that seeks to create genuine human connection. Ashley adopts a strengths-based approach, seeking to highlight and enhance the skills and abilities of those she works with. Ashley consistently approaches sessions with a trauma-informed lens. She practices from an anti-oppressive lens, client-centered approach that strives to highlight those she works with as the expert of their own narrative and experiences. Ashley’s active listening and motivational interviewing skills provides a space in which collaborative healing is made possible.
