Vaughan Psychologists is a group practice of Clinical Psychologists providing Therapy and Assessment. Our health team has considerable experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. We use a variety of evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioural (CBT), family systems, emotion-focused, dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT), psychodynamic and eclectic approaches tailored specifically to each individual’s psychological needs.
Dr. Kim Arbus is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and a member of the Ontario Psychological Association and American Psychological Association. She works with children, adolescents, families. Dr. Arbus has had training in both inpatient settings and outpatient programs, providing assessment and therapeutic intervention for people experiencing mild to severe difficulties. Some of her experience includes her work at Brampton Civic Hospital, McMaster Children's Hospital, Scarborough Hospital and the local school board. She is the co-founder of Vaughan Psychologists and Psychology North and has been in private practice for over 10 years.
Dr. Arbus practices from a collaborative perspective, whereby the needs of the client come first and therapy is looked at as a collaborative process. She enjoys working with individuals with emotional and/or behavioural challenges.
While she is open to a variety of referrals, Dr. Arbus has significant experience working with children, adolescents and families who struggle with Generalized Anxiety, Panic, Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, Phobias, difficult family dynamics, drug and alcohol use, stress related illnesses, gender identity, children who have be through divorce in addition to a variety of other issues.
