KW Counselling Services is a multi-service agency offering counselling supports to individuals, couples and families in the Waterloo Region. In addition to our counselling work we offer a variety of parenting education workshops, and specialized services for LGBTQ2+ youth. We are proud to have been supporting children, youth and families in this community since 1950.

Programs

We offer individual, family and couples counselling. Our rates are on a sliding scale based on income. Every Thursday from noon-6pm we have a Walk In Counselling Clinic and anyone is welcome to walk in and see a therapist for 1.5 hours without having an appointment. We offer multicultural counselling, LGBTQ+ counselling and counselling for older adults and their families. We can help with healing from violence and abuse and recovery after a motor vehicle accident. We work with foster, adoptive and kinship families to help enhance their relationships.

Through our Parenting with Passion program we offer a wide variety of courses and workshops including: parenting babies and toddlers, building self-esteem, emotions management, positive discipline and cooperative parenting and divorce. Our therapists have a minimum of a Masters degree in Social Work or a related field and experience working with individuals, couples, kids, teens, and families on a variety of topics. Our placement students come from a variety of accredited university programs and receive supervision from our staff.
