Hi! I'm Janey, a Trauma-Informed Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Music Industry Coach, Public Speaker, and published author of Fear To Fearce.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent decades performing on major stages while battling severe anxiety behind the scenes. I understand what it means to be confronted with repeated trauma, crushing perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and relentless self-critique. I share this small part of my story so you know that even those in the spotlight face a lot of darkness; you are not alone.
My approach is primarily psychodynamic and trauma-informed, while also integrating CBT, ACT, exposure, and narrative techniques, as well as shadow/parts work, somatic regulation tools, mindfulness, and lifestyle habits/behavioural change.
Themes that often show up in my client work include self-doubt, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, performance anxiety, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, burnout, trauma, identity crises and life transitions, relationship challenges, anger processing, and grief work.
I'm here to witness your story with empathy, attunement, and skill to create a space where safety and exploration coexist.
